Coal Tailings, a Tata Steel by-product of coal, are generated from the finest circuit of the coal washing or coal beneficiation process. Primarily used as coal for Brick Kilns, Coal Tailings promise consistent quality with high calorific value.
Tata Steel is well known among the chief non coking coal suppliers in India. The typical size of Coal Tailings is less than 0.5 mm holding a very high Calorific Value ranging between 3700 - 5300 Kcal/Kg.
Coal Tailings are widely used in numerous retail applications including Brick Kilns and Cokeries, Power Plants and more. It is the High Calorific Value (CV) of Coal that helps Brick Kiln manufacturers reduce cost and increase savings.
West Bokaro (WB) Tailings
The quality of West Bokaro tailings is equivalent to CIL G8 grade. This high CV coal by-product is also consistent in quality and has an established and efficient supply chain for retail sale.
The Industrial By-Product Management Division (IBMD) of Tata Steel being the sole coal tailing supplier in India has planned to launch a mobile app "IBMD Sahaj" for retail sales to facilitate hassle free order placing and tracking.
JCPP Tailings
Tailings generated from Jamadoba Coal Preparation Plant are called JCPP tailings.
The quality of JCPP Tailings is equivalent to G11 CIL coal grade by calorific value. We also cater to institutional customers through our well-established transport network.
BCPP Tailings
The high CV Coal Tailings generated from Bhelatand are referred to as BCPP Tailings. The quality of BCPP tailing varies between G10-G12 equivalent CIL coal grade by calorific value.
